7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners
I scanned through them and made an observation for the record.
I really didn't think much more about them.
Now that I've muddled through the 23 things, I'm looking at
these 7 1/2 steps with a lot more respect.
This is what it takes to get to the end in one piece.
And now I can really play.
Net.library was pretty much a blow by- I really found more titles I might actually use in our database. When I get this mp3 thing, I'll try it out.
I have had a lot of fun and frustration trying out all these things. I'm very grateful that we were afforded this opportunity to explore.
In the beginning I called one of the blog champions for some advice, I was told that my ADD problem could not be addressed at that time. You may notice I have stuff all over the place.
You don't know the half of it- I didn't do things in order and I did a lot of stuff just because I wanted to, not necessarily because that step came next. The important thing for me is I had
a great learning experience. For a person my age, that is no lite statement. I also really appreciated the tenacity of some of our staff and the willingness to help others. This has been a fantastic bonding experience for most of the bloggers at YPL.
Again, I thank you all from my wannabe Pam's Perfect Princess' heart.

Today I will try again, tenacity is my new virtue. I have been really out- doing myself ever since Evillibrarian talked me into this whole blog thing. 1st she put a spell over me and convinced me that as a wannabe princess I needed the MP thing. I don't know what it's going to do for me, but I want it . I told the royal husband what I was up to and he not only knew what I was talking about, he issued warnings to me. Thanks to Evillibrarian's tutelage I faked my way through that conversation with colors flying. Perhaps a little overconfident , I bragged to my children about the blogging and the MP thing . Again, to my surprise they all knew what I was talking about and all tried to win my favor for the MP thing. I'm now convinced I can't live totally without this MP thing, I plan to finish my 23 tasks and find out more information about the MP thing, or at least find out how big it is.
Do you think I can carry it with me? Can I hide it in my tiara so no one can steal it? Do you think Evillibrarian will cast a spell over me and use the MP thing's army to take over the rule of my kingdom?

Heron
This is a sight similar to what I saw yesterday morning while enjoying my morning coffee on the back patio.
The huge bird actually flew onto my neighbor's roof and stared at my small pond for a good 30 minutes.
I live very near to a park with a natural water feature that is host to many ducks, geese, herons, and other critters that you may not see a mile north of the center of the city.
The scary part of this sight for me, other than at first I thought it was a giant hawk coming to wreak vengeance of some horrible calliper upon my naturally frizzy red hair, was that last year I lost 9 fish from my pond that I nurtured and named and really enjoyed watching.
Now the real reason I stole this picture from Eekers- I want my husband to see it because he doesn't believe that a heron would stand on a roof.
By the by- we put a huge net over the pond this year and I haven't lost a fish yet.
